Chandigarh Awards Over ₹2 Crore in Support to Startups and Incubators

SPEEDY CLICKS NEWS ROOM · Chandigarh · Business and development

Chandigarh, October 9, 2026. Chandigarh’s startup ecosystem received a further funding boost in September 2026 when the UT Administration announced grants exceeding ₹2 crore for eight startups and four incubation organisations under its Startup Policy 2025. According to the announcement, ₹85.80 lakh was allocated to the selected startups, while four incubators were allocated approximately ₹1.18 crore.

The awards matter because incubation support can help early ventures with mentoring, workspace access and the practical steps between prototype and commercial launch. The administration indicated that the amounts would be disbursed in phases through the respective incubators, so the approved grant totals should not be confused with money already received by every venture.

What it means for local entrepreneurs

Chandigarh founders planning to pursue policy-backed assistance should track eligibility and application procedures through official channels. This report covers the grant announcement, not an assessment of the financial performance of the recipients.
